positive light

i am somewhere between 8 and 12 years old so it's 1970-1974. (this is very approx.) i was very depressed and didn't feel i wanted to live here anymore, on this planet, and was begging someone/something good to just come get me.

i was crying on my bed and suddenly i became aware of a presence in my room. across the room in one corner a light started to manifest, so i stopped crying and just watched. three distinct yet soft, beautiful columns of light formed and moved towards me. i wasn't frightened at all. they moved right through me and as that happened my depression lifted and i realised that i had to stay here and that all was ok within me. i remember a feeling of almost indescribable absolute love, peace and calm...
